The Horto Waterfall Trail and Secret Waterfalls Circuit is a series of waterfalls and cascades located within the boundaries of Tijuca National Park. It’s one of the most popular waterfall spots in Rio de Janeiro.
The hike follows sections of trails and paths, rated as moderate difficulty with some natural obstacles to overcome. The area is beautiful and highly pleasant, showcasing stunning examples of local flora and frequent sightings of wildlife.

- Comfortable shoes with good grip, closed and sturdy (e.g., sneakers, hiking boots)
- Light snacks
- Water container (at least 2 liters recommended)
- Trash bag

- Sunscreen
- For those allergic to mosquitoes, we recommend bringing insect repellent
- A backpack to carry your belongings is mandatory. Handbags or shoulder bags are not permitted.
